11-6 EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION PAIR (AIR SUPPLY) SYSTEM AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM INSPECTION PAIR HOSES • Inspect the PAIR hoses for wear or damage. • Inspect the PAIR hoses for secure connection. PAIR REED VALVE • Lift and support the fuel tank. (5-3) • Remove the PAIR reed valve cover. (3-27) • Inspect the reed valve for the carbon deposit. • If the carbon deposit is found in the reed valve, replace the PAIR reed valve with a new one. PCV HOSE • Remove the PCV hose from the crankcase breather cover. E • Inspect the PCV hose for wear and damage. • If it is worn or damaged, replace the PCV hose with a new L one. P M A PAIR CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL S • Remove the air cleaner box. (5-13) • Disconnect the PAIR control solenoid valve lead wire coupler 1 and PAIR hoses. • Remove the PAIR control solenoid valve 2.
